The CANY Offshore Cup 2024 started on Monday 16 September from the German marina Kühlungsborn. The twelfth year of this challenging yacht race, which was part of the Czech Yachting Federation's Cup Series and of which Lanex Yachting was a proud main partner, took sailors on a course of more than 300 nautical miles around the Danish island of Bornholm. The race field consisted mainly of Dehler 38, supplemented by Oceanis 40.1, and the weather forecast promised steady northeasterly winds.
After technical boat checks and registrations, the sailors took to the course where they faced both wind challenges and technical problems. Nevertheless, the first crews were approaching the finish line. The lead was held by skipper Sasa Nedvědický's boat, which was the first to cross the finish line after more than 56 hours of sailing. Robert Kolin's team sailed in second place, while the fight for third place was between the other crews.
The announcement of the winners took place on Thursday morning, where the trophy was presented to the winning crew.
The next year of the "CANY Offshore Cup 2025" will start on September 15, 2025 and we are looking forward to another exciting sailing.
